NRL player Brandon Smith charged with drug and betting offences

South Sydney Rabbitohs forward and Kiwis international Brandon Smith faces charges of supplying dangerous drugs and using inside knowledge for betting. Following an investigation by Queensland Police, Smith is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court next month. The NRL has cleared him to play in the final round for his club.
