Elderly Whangārei couple lose tens of thousands in banking scam

An elderly couple lost tens of thousands of dollars over the weekend after being targeted by a fraudster. The victims were instructed to provide their PINs and leave their bank cards in a mailbox for collection. Whangārei Police are currently investigating the scam and are urging the public to remain alert.
