Prime Minister Christopher Luxon is expected to announce the date for the Tāmaki Makaurau by-election following a Cabinet meeting in Wellington. The election follows the death of Te Pāti Māori MP Takutai Tarsh Kemp. Labour MP Peeni Henare and Te Pāti Māori's Oriini Kaipara are confirmed candidates.
