Wānaka woman accused of cancer fraud faces sexual assault charge

Sepiuta Vave, 38, is facing a sexual assault charge alongside allegations of a million-dollar cancer treatment fraud. Vave and her husband, Andrew Jones, are accused of defrauding more than a dozen associates by claiming funds were needed for unnecessary medical care. The pair appeared in Christchurch District Court via audio-visual link.
