Ellerslie racing boss Paul Wilcox says the upcoming Champions Day is inspired by Sydney's The Everest. The event features the inaugural $3.5 million NZB Kiwi race. Approximately 12,000 people are expected to attend the racing programme at the Ellerslie grounds.
