Tauranga shoplifter sentenced to two years in prison

A 45-year-old woman has been sentenced to two years in prison following 37 shoplifting convictions in Tauranga. Police say the offences occurred almost daily from September 2024 until her arrest in February. The investigation was initiated by the Tauranga Retail Crime Unit after a single report.
