The derelict Gordon Wilson Flats on The Terrace may be demolished after the Government removes their protected heritage status. The social housing block has sat empty since 2012 after being deemed unsafe. While heritage advocates oppose the decision, the change is expected to occur through an amendment to the Resource Management Act.
