The Soldiers’ Block at Queen Mary Hospital Historic Reserve will reopen as a community centre this Anzac Day. The building, which was originally constructed in 1916 for WWI soldiers, has remained unused for over 20 years. A restoration project including earthquake strengthening has been completed to facilitate the reopening.
