Coroner rules surfer died from drowning at Aramoana Beach

A coroner has ruled that 35-year-old Jamie Civil died from drowning while surfing at Aramoana Beach on 26 March 2022. Mr Civil was caught in large waves before being pulled from the water. He was unable to be revived once he reached the shore.
