Māngere Mountain fire believed to be deliberate

An Auckland Council maunga authority representative says fire crews informed them that a blaze on Māngere Mountain over the weekend was intentionally lit. The fire spread across the crater walls, leaving them burnt. Fire and Emergency has declined to confirm if the fires are being treated as arson.
