New pink-fleshed apple variety enters commercial markets

The FIZZ apple, featuring pinky-red flesh and a berry-like flavour, is being prepared for commercial sale. Developed by Prevar through a Plant and Food Research programme, the first pallets of the variety are being sent to international markets from Otago.
