The discovery of the nationally vulnerable Orocrambus sophistes moth may affect OceanaGold's proposed Macraes Phase Four expansion in Otago. The moth was found in short tussock grasslands at Golden Bar, one of the pits targeted for expansion. The mining company has requested time to wait for further developments.
