State Highway 3 remains closed at Awakino following mudslide

State Highway 3 south of Awakau Road remains closed after a large mudslide hit the road on Thursday evening. NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi says contractors are working to clear the debris. The highway is expected to reopen to single-lane traffic under stop/go controls by the end of Friday.
