A boil water notice is in effect for approximately 29,000 residents in northeast Hamilton and nearby rural areas until at least Tuesday. The advisory follows a positive E. coli test at the Rototuna reservoir. While recent samples have come back clear, authorities require three consecutive clean tests before lifting the notice.
