Man hospitalised after winds lift caravan in Northland campground

An elderly man was taken to hospital with moderate injuries after being trapped in a campervan at Tauranga Bay Holiday Park on Tuesday morning. Strong winds, described by some as a mini tornado, lifted caravans at the site northwest of Kerikeri. Northland Civil Defence is aware of the incident.
