Christchurch man sentenced to 23 years for sexual offending

John Hope Muchirahondo has been jailed for 23 years following his conviction for 17 counts of rape and sexual assault. Between 2011 and 2021, Muchirahondo targeted nine women, some of whom he knew socially or as partners. He continues to maintain his innocence.
