Man sentenced for leaving boys alone with loaded rifle

Aaron Grant Pickering was sentenced in the Nelson District Court after leaving a 10-year-old and a 15-year-old with a loaded .308 rifle on d'Urville Island. The man left the boys to go fishing and drinking. A judge described the incident as a recipe for disaster.
