MBIE and Maritime New Zealand have issued a recall for over 21,000 Hutchwilco manual inflatable lifejackets manufactured between June 2021 and May 2022. A fault in the Halkey-Roberts mechanism may prevent the jackets from inflating correctly. Owners are advised to return the products for a refund or a replacement mechanism.
