Heavy rain causes flooding and manhole damage in Nelson

More than 20 flooding incidents were reported in central Nelson following heavy rainfall on Monday morning. The downpours caused manhole covers to erupt and water to enter properties. Emergency services responded to the incidents, and officials have advised treating flood waters as potentially contaminated.
