Woman killed in Lower Hutt car crash identified by police

Police have identified 60-year-old Vanessa Rithia Houpapa as the woman who died after being hit by a car in Naenae last Thursday. The incident occurred on Cambridge Terrace and involved two people being hit. A woman has been charged with excess breath alcohol causing injury and death.
