University of Waikato secures 99-year lease for Tauranga marine facility

The University of Waikato will pay nearly $1.4 million for a 99-year lease on part of a Tauranga reserve. The university plans to build a marine research and education facility at Sulphur Point. The lease agreement was signed in July last year.
