Captain Kieran Read has selected Gilchrist to help his side attempt to overcome Team Cricket's 6-2 series lead. Gilchrist will line up alongside Read, Israel Dagg, and Tom Walsh.
“Having Gilly on our side is a pretty handy addition,” Read said. He added that if reinforcements are allowed, the team may as well call in one of the best.
Team Cricket is led by captain Tim Southee and includes Lou Vincent, Neil Wagner, and Jesse Ryder. Both teams are permitted to field two wildcards, with further announcements expected.
