Kāinga Ora has sold the 11-storey Dixon Street Flats in central Wellington to Taranaki Whānui Limited for $1.04 million. The social housing complex was closed three years ago after being deemed unfit for purpose. The building contains 117 units and would require significant upgrading to be used for housing again.
