Coroner Mary-Anne Borrowdale has decided not to open an inquest into the 2022 death of 26-year-old apprentice jockey Megan Taylor. Taylor died following a fall at Ashburton Raceway while riding Red Orchid. The coroner is satisfied that the Racing Integrity Board's investigation into the incident was adequate.
