Endangered black mudfish found in Helensville wetland after decade

Adults and juveniles of the regionally endangered Waikaka, or black mudfish, have been located in a Helensville wetland. The species had not been seen in the area since 2014. The discovery was made during a joint survey by Auckland Council and Watercare.
