Christchurch Airport unveils New Zealand's first electric fire truck

Christchurch Airport has introduced the Rosenbauer RT, the country's first fully electric fire truck. The vehicle is also the first of its kind at a Southern Hemisphere airport and will replace an existing diesel model. Plans are in place to expand the electric response fleet by 2026.
