Government announces preferred plan for two new Wellington tunnels

Transport Minister Simeon Brown has confirmed preferred options for two new tunnels to reduce congestion in Wellington. The plan includes a 0.7km tunnel under Mount Victoria and a 0.5km tunnel parallel to the Terrace Tunnel. The proposal also includes grade separation at the Basin Reserve.
