The 77-year-old inmate has been released to serve the remainder of his sentence in the community. His release follows a hunger strike that began on 10 March in protest of alleged mistreatment by prison guards. Wickliffe appeared before the Parole Board on Wednesday after being hospitalised with a suspected kidney issue.
