Christchurch man cancels insurance after premium increase

Trevor Taylor has ended his home insurance after premiums rose by more than 30 per cent. Tower Insurance attributed the increase to new risk pricing regarding sea surges, landslips, earthquakes, and flooding. The insurer stated the sea surge rating reflects potential flooding through nearby water systems.
