Schools and early learning centres urged to stop using contaminated sand

The Ministry of Education has alerted schools and early learning centres to stop using coloured play sand containing tremolite asbestos. Approximately 30 schools and 30 early childhood services have already contacted Ministry staff regarding the recall.
