New Zealand's national median weekly rent decreased by 3 per cent to $620 in July. According to Trade Me Property Rental Price Index data, this downward trend continues as supply increases and demand decreases. Wellington saw the largest year-on-year decline, with asking rents falling 7.7 per cent to $600 per week.
