Man sentenced for manslaughter of South African man in Wellington

Siale Siale, 30, has been sentenced to two years and three months in prison for the manslaughter of 21-year-old Luke Smith. Smith died in hospital following an assault outside a cinema complex on Courtenay Place in October 2024. Siale pleaded guilty to the charge at the High Court in Wellington.
