Te Tii Marae wharenui reopens after first phase of restoration

The whare tupuna, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, has reopened at Te Tii Marae in Waitangi following restoration work. A dawn ceremony was held by mana whenua Ngāti Rāhiri and Ngāti Kawa to mark the completion of the first stage of repairs.
