Auckland Council confirms flood prevention proposal for Takapuna Golf Course

Auckland Council has chosen a design concept for AF Thomas Park to provide flood resilience for the Milford-Wairau Valley. The proposal includes a flood-detention sink that could also accommodate a nine-hole golf course and driving range. Construction is expected to begin in 2027.
