Car and rail maintenance vehicle collide at Matamata level crossing

A car and a light rail maintenance vehicle collided at the intersection of Firth and Tainui Streets in Matamata just before 8.50am on Wednesday. The collision caused the rail vehicle to derail. KiwiRail has closed the rail line while an investigation into the incident is conducted.
