Crews battle scrub fire on Coromandel Peninsula

Firefighters are working to contain a vegetation fire near Kūaotunu that began on Saturday afternoon. Three helicopters and four ground crews are attending the blaze, which covers an area of approximately 600m by 600m. Black Jack Road is expected to remain closed all day Sunday with stop-go traffic management in place.
