Firefighters return to Coromandel scrub fire near Kūaotunu

Crews returned to the Black Jack fireground on Wednesday to tackle deep-seated burning. The vegetation fire, which began on Saturday, has affected an estimated nine hectares of steep terrain. Firefighters are also requesting that residents avoid flying drones due to safety risks to helicopters.
